"My bicycle means a lot to me. I feel I am in control when I ride my bicycle
and it helps me work out my frustration and aggravations so I can be a better person."

- Jessica Green

Jessica's Story

Jessica was a young woman with autism who passed away in her sleep on December 19th, 2007. Jessica always looked forward to the "never ending bicycle ride". Her desire to ride was evident by how it made her feel. Her bicycle meant so much to her. She felt in control when she would ride her bicycle and it helped her work out her frustration and aggravations which made her feel like a better person. Fortunately for Jessica and those that met her, many came to know and love her beautiful soul and spirit as she became a member of the softball team, and the bowling team.

Jessica's mom always sought out supportive networks for her daughter who faced so many challenges with her Autism. She was not alone in her journey. There are many families who face the same challenges with their loved one. These families are constantly seeking information and support for their loved ones throughout their lifespan.
