How Funds Are Used

The formative years of the Jessica Green Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization, will be spent creating/increasing funding for various services, which will provide assistance and support to families of children on the autism spectrum. The foundation will also be assisting other similar organizations during this time in order to establish and strengthen collaborative relationships with other agencies in the area.

The mission of "IN THE FARM", is to facilitate community inclusive programs and projects that promote the development of natural networks of supports, skills, resources, access and opportunities for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities. IN THE FARM's primary purpose is to serve the needs of those that present challenges with communication, social relationships, learning and behaviors, their families and the community in which they live.

The vision of IN THE FARM is to pave the path throughout the life span of the individuals it reaches, which leads to quality of life by promoting acceptance, awareness, family supports, inclusion, friendships, sustainable self-sufficiency and independence, employment, leisure and socialization in the communities in which they live.

IN THE FARM's first project will be The Healing Gardens, a gardening program that will provide the opportunity for those that have been affected by autism, their families and other community participants, to come together to grow flowers, fruits and vegetables in a community organic and hydroponics garden.

IN THE FARM plans to develop future projects and programs that include, family supports and respite programs, business, educational and faith based partnerships, skill development and micro-enterprise projects, and support projects for medical, educational and therapeutic providers that serve individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
